Emmalee Glauser Powell received her BFA in Illustration from BYU in 2007, and is currently pursuing her graduate degree in Art Education. She was a featured artist in 2019 Utah Valley Parade of Homes. She has won numerous awards, is represented by Heirloom Art Co and Writ and Vision galleries, and has art in numerous permanent collections around the country. She enjoys teaching, helping others to learn to cope with their mental challenges, and making art with limited time and resources. Her artwork is religious and varies from highly realistic to textured abstract expressionist paintings. She taught middle school for nine years and is currently an adjunct art education teacher at both BYU and UVU. She loves to travel, teach, fix things, and build and refinish custom furniture for her house. She is married and has three young children.
