Snelson PhotoColor Lab, Inc. was established in 1973 with roots going back as far as the late 1800s. Ralph Snelson started the company after a fire destroyed five businesses on Springville's Main Street. One of the businesses was a portrait studio where Ralph moonlighted as a color printer. For his day job he worked as a math teacher at the local Jr. high school. The business started in the basement of his home with a color enlarger and used basket processor.

The business gradually attracted more customers. Growth was accomplished with little or no formal advertising, only word-of-mouth referrals. Our service and commitment to our customers is what set us apart then and has helped us excel since. We are now located in a 10,000 sq. ft. facility with 42 highly trained, customer conscious employees. Our technicians use state-of-the-art printing and processing equipment from major manufactures. Our digital imaging capabilities allow us to provide even more services to our customers through digital retouching, photo composition, digital color proofing and large format, full color posters.

Snelson PhotoColor Lab has grown into a full service color lab servicing professional portrait and wedding photographers as well as corporate art departments and graphic artists, small, single proprietor business to large corporate art departments. We care about each customer regardless of size or annual volume. We produce quality products intended for professionals.
